This is Tabula Rasa’s second season carrying La Raffinerie. So far, customers have been snatching up these gorgeous statement necklaces, and pairing it up with our cute vintage frocks or with our silk blouses buttoned all the way to the top!

We are proud to carry this unique one of a kind Canadian line here at Tabula Rasa.

Here’s a little bit more about Julia the designer and how La Raffinerie came to be.

The designer
The designer Julia Vallelunga founded La Raffinerie in 2009. After graduating in Economics and Politics at l’Université de Montréal, she worked as a lobbyist in Brussels, an export adviser, and a business adviser for startups. Frustrated that her day job wasn’t creative enough, Julia Vallelunga decided to launch her own business. Three years later, La Raffinerie jewelry is on sale in stores across Canada, Japan and the USA. The designer is also the founder of À la Mode Montréal, a popular fashion online magazine in Quebec that attracts around 40 000 readers per month.

In 2011/2012, La Raffinerie was proud to announce two collaborations with Anthropologie (March 2011 and January 2012).

Our company
La Raffinerie’s studio is located in the beautiful neighbourhood of the Mile-End in Montréal. The designer design all the models and she has a small creative team that helps to produce the jewelry. Everything is proudly made by hand.

Our philosophy
Our environmental policy: we reuse as much as possible and we use packing material made of recycled paper.We want to offer our customers affordable trendy jewelry made locally. Everything is made in Montréal…and it will stay like this!
